Passions.

A collection of interests and things that make my brain tingle and shape ‘ME’.

illustration.

For over 8 years, I’ve been creating digital illustrations, drawing inspiration from the media I consume, the artists I admire, and the everyday moments that spark creativity.

It actually took me a long time to transition from drawing on paper to a tablet, and initially that change felt very foreign. But I quickly fell in love with Procreate, and it has since become one of my favorite products.

Art has been a defining part of who I am (since elementary school!), and as much as I enjoy it as a pastime, it allows me to express myself in ways words often can’t.

Here are some of my favorite illustrations I’ve made recently.

'Silent Snow'

An illustration of the lonely path of a female warrior.

'Tranquility'

An individual at peace with life, enjoying a light summer breeze.

'Frieren'

An illustration for the anime: Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.

photography.

Photography is something that is still fairly new to me. But I recently picked up an amazing camera, the Fujifilm xT5, which captures pictures with a vintage and film-like quality that I really love.

My overall philosophy is to capture images with a sense of authenticity. I want to see how people live in different parts of the world and capture the raw beauty of their everyday moments, emotions, and cultures.

As I continue to travel around the world, I’m slowly collecting snapshots that show brief but meaningful glimpses into the lives of the people I happen to encounter.

Here are some of my recent favorites from my trip to Japan.

Shinjuku, Japan

Kyoto, Japan

Asakusa, Japan

literature.

Reading has been one of the best ways for me to learn new perspectives and broaden my overall understanding of topics. I particularly enjoy reading realistic fiction and nonfiction, but I like trying out new genres all the time.

I’ve been trying to finish at least one book per month, and so far I’ve been pretty successful. Sometimes finishing a book will leave me staring at the ceiling for hours, or sometimes they lead me down a rabbit hole of tangential ideas. But that’s what makes it so special—the ability of a good book to spark curiosity, challenge my thinking, and take me on unexpected mental journeys.
